Guides for setting up and running your on-call roster.

For the People manager

You own the roster of people: invites, profiles, timezones, contacts, and permissions.

With Manage people you maintain the directory every schedule draws from. Accurate people data is what makes the roster trustworthy.

When this applies

You’re responsible for who is in the organization — onboarding new hires, offboarding leavers, and keeping contact details current.

What to do

  1. Invite new people from People and remove those who leave.
  2. Keep each person’s timezone correct — it drives how their shifts display for everyone.
  3. Add contacts (phone, message, WhatsApp). People with none are tagged No contacts in red so gaps are obvious — chase those down.
  4. Grant organization and schedule permissions appropriate to each person’s job. See Permissions explained.

You can see the full directory — including invited, pending, and declined people. That visibility is what separates a people manager from someone who only holds *Delegate permissions*.
